His academic appointments include Assistant Professor of Clinical Surgery at Columbia University. Dr. Steve Elias was recently named by VEIN Magazine as one of the 25 most influential professionals in vein care worldwide and voted “Best Doctor” in 2009, 2010 and 2011 by New York Magazine. In 2011, Dr. Elias was listed in the US News and World Report Top Doctors In America. He has been named by Castle Connolly as Top Doctor in the New York Metropolitan Area for the last 9 years.

Ronald Bush MD FACS is a board certified vascular surgeon who has specialized solely in venous disease for over 15 years. His research has been instrumental in the latest vein treatments and he has been voted one of the top 25 vein specialists in the world. He is an educator, authoring numerous scientic papers and continues to lecture exstensively throughout the world at major medical meetings teaching others the art of caring for the venous patient.

Dr. Bush was trained in general surgery at Indiana University, vascular surgery fellowship at Baylor and cardiothoracic surgery fellowship at Walter Reed Army Medical Center. He is bordered in general surgery, cardiothoracic surgery and in Laser surgery.

Dr. Bush has performed thousands of venous procedures and remains dedicated to improving techniques to better care for his patients.

He has direct experience as an operating executive and is an active investor and executive mentor with early stage companies from startup through M&A. He founded GemStone Systems, an enterprise infrastructure software company that pioneered the adoption of several infrastructure technologies including object oriented database management systems, application servers and in-memory, virtualized real-time data grids. GemStone was acquired by VMWare (http://www.vmware.com/), a leader in the virtualization and cloud computing space.
